Discover Japan in a Day: A Journey Through History, Art, Food and Nature!
Welcome to "Kazamikobako”, a creative atelier set within the historic grounds of 700-year-old Kōsho-ji, nestled in the tranquil beauty of Nagahama, Shiga! This unique space blends food and art, created by the talented chef of Nouvelle Shōjin Cuisine, Kunie Hasutani, and the enchanting karakuri (meaning “mechanism” in Japanese) toy artist, Enjo Hasutani.
Our very first gathering at Kazamikobako offers you a rare opportunity to create your own wooden automata toy and prepare exquisite shōjin dishes. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Lake Biwa's northern shores while appreciating the perfect harmony of art and food. We look forward to sharing this unforgettable experience with you!
