Usui Pea, A Classic Vegetable of Naniwa(Osaka)

Usui peas were introduced from the United States during the Meiji period (1868-1912) and started to be cultivated in the Usui district of Habikino City.

The pods are small and light in color, but they are characterized by large size of peas and sweet taste, and have been certified by the Osaka Prefectural Government as a “Naniwa(Osaka) traditional vegetable.

They are best cooked with rice or scrambled eggs with beans!

Notes: Shipping will be by cool delivery service.Usui peas are available from early May to mid-May, which is a very short delivery period.Since we ship in the order of your reservation, it is not possible to specify a preferred arrival date.If you know in advance which day you will not be able to receive your order, please specify it in the remarks column.

Please note that delivery may be delayed significantly if the quality of the product deteriorates due to weather conditions.
