New Rice 2024 “Inochi no Ichi” produced in Nishiazai milled to an 80% degree.
The story of "Inochi no Ichi" began in 2000, when an unusually tall rice stalk was discovered in a small rice field in Gero City, Gifu Prefecture.
This unique rice variety thrives in cool climates, requiring expert cultivation skills. When cooked, it is sticky with a delightful aroma and satisfying chew. Each bite offers a rich sweetness and umami that sets it apart from other rice varieties.
Grown in the fluctuating climate of Nishiazai town which is located at the northernmost tip of Lake Biwa, each grain of "Inochi no Ichi" embodies the pure essence of nature, making every meal a truly special one!

As Inochi no Ichi has a high water absorption rate, it is best to avoid soaking the rice.
