Cannelé De Tokyo

Cannelé De Tokyo

Since Vegan Cannelé’s debut in 2021, these tasty cannelés have been sold out in stores everyday. This set of six vegan cannelés made with rare Tokyo native wheat (Yanagikubo wheat) and Ogasawara rum (strong enough to withstand long baking time), is a real treat from Tokyo!

Product Details

Cannelé de Bordeaux, a local pastry of Bordeaux, France, was created because Bordeaux is famous for its wine. Egg whites are used to remove the lees from Bordeaux wine, thus rendering egg yolks unused. Instead of wasting these egg yolks, they can be used to make cannelés!

The original ingredients for cannelé include flour, eggs, milk, sugar, rum, butter, and vanilla while Atelier TiDANEFA's Tokyo vegan cannelé is free from eggs, milk, white sugar, and butter.

However, here is what our customers have to say, "I can't believe it is made with only plant-based ingredients! Yet it tastes just like cannelé!”

We are also proud of the powerful Ogasawara rum (from the Ogasawara Islands) used in our cannelés.

Ingredients:

Organic unmodified soy milk (made in Japan), wheat, organic cane sugar, organic coconut oil, organic maple syrup, organic agave syrup, rum, kuzu flour, vanilla, sea salt, organic turmeric.

This product contains some wheat and soy.

Storage Method:

Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Can be frozen if not consumed immediately.

The enclosed leaflet contains information on how to enjoy the product.

Shelf life:

5 days from manufacture; if frozen, about 1 month

Date of shipment:

Made to order and shipped at room temperature

Recommended way of consumption:

If the crust is hard at the time of delivery, please eat it as it is. You can savor the contrast between the crispy texture of crust and the chewy texture of the filling.

If the crust is soft, leave it as it is. You can enjoy the delicate balance between the soft crust and the chewy filling.

For a crispy crust, it can be wrapped in aluminum foil and warmed in a toaster oven or conventional oven until the center is warm, then let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes (or cool in the freezer for 5 minutes) before consumption.

We hope you will find your favorite way of enjoying them!

Please refer to the enclosed leaflet with instructions on how to enjoy the crust.

Do note that the texture may vary slightly depending on how you heat it up.

After defrosting, please consume within the same day.
