Japanese sweet potatoes like Beni Haruka are naturally sweet and creamy. When combined with salty melted cheese, you get the perfect sweet & salty balance. The outside becomes crispy, inside fluffy, cheese stretchy. That's why everyone loves it in Japan.
2. Ingredients - Only 2
- 1 Japanese sweet potato (200g) - Satsumaimo
- 100g melting cheese
- 1 tsp olive oil

3. How to Make It (3 Steps)
- Slice sweet potato 1cm thick. Soak in water 5 mins, dry well.
- Place on tray with oil. Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 3 mins.
- Add lots of cheese on top, bake 2 more mins until bubbly and golden. Done!
No oven? Microwave potato 3 mins, then toast with cheese for 2 mins.
Pro Tip: Add honey + black pepper for adult version. Add butter + cinnamon for dessert version.
